School's over, which is pretty sweet. There's still orientation week next week, but that hardly counts as school. My last exam was two weeks ago, so I've been relishing the free time. No holiday homework yet, no exams, no school. Originally planned to spend it all in a drunken stupor, but that didnt really happen. Instead went to Maryborough for the HPV race (basically a 24hour bike race). Go figure.

Otherwise, have slept very little, spent far too much time on the internet, had a bit of a personal crisis (dont ask, it's just generic hormonal teenager angst. basically got a little fucked over), saw Muse live (v.nice), did Revs exam (!!!!!fucking finally) and only made up the answer to one question, managed to finish the Methods 3/4 exam though how much of it was correct we'll have to wait to find out.

ohohohohoh, also, got JOE COCKER TICKETS! i'm not sure whether anyone on my flist would actually care, but i dont care. Joe Cocker! JOE FUCKING COCKER!

i'm so excited

"Last updated 24 weeks ago"

Well, that's slightly embarrassing. I am so very, very bad at keeping these sorts of things. Thing is, I check my friends page every single day, and read every single entry, but I never get around to posting myself or commenting. Sorry flist! But I promise I’m keeping up with your entries

I am very, very excited, however, because I have a shiny new laptop!♥ part of the reason that I’m updating this here journal is so that I’d have an excuse to use the keyboard which is so so so fun. Hate my parents though. My dad went to london for 2.5 months and apparently the laptop arrived the day after he'd left, so they decided they wouldnt tell us about it until he came back. It had been sitting in my parents' bedroom for TWO MONTHS, because they found it amusing when my sister and i would try to convince dad to buy us a laptop at duty free *facepalm*

Umm what else… ah yes, couple of weeks ago I had the good fortune (ahem) of visiting the fair state of South Australia. Our german class, along with some kids from mill park drove 14hrs to <strike>hole of the universe</strike> a lovely town called Hahndorf (which google translator helpfully translates into ‘cock village’), the largest german settlement in Australia or something equally exciting. Much fun ensued as we ate sausage and learnt about migration to Australia. Bet you wish your school took you on camps that were half as cool.

That'll do for now. See you guys in another 24 weeks xD

A post about my German adventures is getting there, albeit incredibly slowly, but instead I bring you something new and unexpected.

On Wednesday night I got a phone call from my dad, who is currently in London due to work. The conversation went something like this:

Me: Hello
Dad: How was Köln
Me: *some sort of rambling about cathedrals, and jackets*
Dad: Cool. Wanna come to London on the weekend?
Me: O.O

So, yeah, I'm leaving for Frankfurt airport in half an hour.

DUEY FTW

Hello, hello, happy new year and all of that jazz.

Just thought I'd update this thing finally, let you know that the reason I’d been around less than usual is because our computer got some fucking virus and dad thought it would be funny if he put off fixing it for about a month.

It wasn't.

Felt like I had lost a friend (or several) :(

Ja. So, how is everyone?

Whoo procrastinating!

I have an exam in a week, and 5 exams in a week and a half, I need to learn Kinematics and Calculus because I missed them both, and re-learn all other maths topics, watch Truman Show and write entire Work Requirement (for tomorrow) and practice instruments (grade 6 exams in 1 and 3 weeks). Also I have some thing to do for Science in which I pretend to be an ethicist in order to propose some sort of stemcell-involving program, or ask for a grant for research or... something. I'm not too sure.

Blergh.

General Maths is the suckiest subject ever, next to 'ELMS Science' (in which we used the program Boeing uses to make a balsa wood car). When I told my teacher that I had missed all of Kinematics (therefore not done test or anything) he laughed and walked away. Not helpful.

Ofcourse, I'm fixing all of this done by surfing the net. As always.

Yes, so I'm back from Serbia. We arrived in the wee hours of last Monday morning, after being stuck in Frankfurt for 24 hours. We did get to stay in a 4 star hotel for free, which was fun.

Serbia was... interesting. There was much running around and visiting various relatives. One of my great aunts gave me underwear. The city itself is quite rundown, but everyone has fancy mobile phones and designer clothes. Also, 50 dinars (serbian currency) = AU$1, one pack of cigarettes can cost 45 dinars. Which explains why everyone is a chain smoker.

I've been sort of absent from the internet, because we have a German exchange student staying with us. She's pretty cool, we get along well. Also, my sister has found some wolf rpg site or something, and is now obsessed and constantly on teh computer, so i apologise for that. (but seriously, wolf rpg???)

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

oh my freaking god i love placebo

Holy fucking shit  akfljsz;dhj;sfgjl;djfglajdflk

so, yesterday, Placebo were on Rove, and guess who was in the green room? yeah. that's right. fglsdfjhlksfjeroktjaklgh

it was the most nerve wracking and exciting experience of my life. I spent most of the time trying to not make it obvious that I was shaking. It was probably a good thing they only spent about 15 minutes in there, and then went back to their dressing room, or whatever.

But yeah, basically, Hunter and I got into the green room there and there was no one super dooper exciting in there (we had noo idea who those '15 seconds of fame people' were or what they were doing until they actually went on set) and Kevin (rave’s assistanty dude, through whom we got into rove) introduced us to Pete Helliar, not too exciting. So we were there waiting and watching the door, and trying not to look too much like crazed fans, and then we realise that some of Placebo's crew were sitting on the couch opposite us, and we get, naturally, very excited. Then, a little while later Bill walks in, and so I whack Hunter, who has also seen. And we sort of stare for a while. And then fucking Brian walks in, and my insides spontaneously combust. It was just such a shock actually seeing him in real life. But yeah, we tried not to stare (not very easy, at all) and we weren’t meant to talk to them so it was incredibly frustrating and Brian kept looking at us asdfsglh I think it was pretty obvious why we were there. Steve walked in also, and was as blokey as ever and I could have killed the woman who was sitting near them (the one with the tying of the snakes in her mouth) who got to introduce herself to Steve. And then Steeeef and that was even worse than when Brian walked in... cause well.. it's Stef. Who is even sexier in real life. Five meters away from us. Wearing tight pants.
But yeah, they did the thing where the camera pans across all the guests, and got some photos taken and left.
Just before they were due to perform, Kevin got us, and took us into the studio, and we had a pretty awesome view, and nothing out of the ordinary happened, but then as we were walking back through the corridor to get our stuff, who happened but turn into it right in front of us? Stefan! He was with this makeup woman (I assume) who was like "so, do you want to keep the face" and then I (who had promised myself I wouldn’t make a complete arse of myself) blurted out "oh, no, don’t ever get rid of it, it's a very nice face". But he turned around and smiled at me and adsfklgjslesdkfjgsd it was the best moment of the night. But the fun didn’t stop there, because as we walked into the green room, Brian was in there grabbing some stuff, and I was sort of like ohmygodthisisyourlastopportunity and was trying to think of something interesting to say, but instead came out with "Nice work, see you Friday!" and he was like "..... thanks, see you friday.." and I was like ahahaha I suck but oh lord I spoke to brian molko

I'm still shaking

and the peahead is also way way more attractive in real life

I am so, so freaking excited. I've been arguing with my parents for the past couple of months about it, and I thought I had completely blown my chances a couple of days ago when Dad and I got into a fight, but it's ok now.

I found Queer As Folk!! Finally!!

Thankyou Youtube!

Ok, so I've been looking for ages, cause well.. I think that's pretty self explanatory actually. Anyway, i'd found it in my video store a couple of weeks ago, but well, $2.95 overnight, and there would be Questions from the parents, so I tried looking on the net. And today I finally thought to look on youtube, and some wonderful person has uploaded up to season 2, and my god i'm addicted. It's pixelated, and the sound gets out of sync from the picture after about 10 seconds, but I dont care it's still one of the greatest things I've ever watched.

In other news, school sucks, I failed a probability analysis task (who the hell does that?? It was such a stupid way to fail anyway, I misread '9 apples' as '5 apples' and therefore got everything wrong. Still, failed probability. wtf!!).

It seems I only update now when it is to do with television. Hah.

Argh, my sister got Nintendogs and it's driving me insane I curse you Nintendo, and your damned voice recognition software!

Ok, it's time for the obligatory Harry Potter rant, having finally seen the Goblet of Fire (see previous entry for incoherent , excited babbling). It was a million times better than I thought it would be, even though it contained quite a lack of siriusandremushotmansex. The fire scene pissed me off to no end. WHY IS HIS FACE MADE OF EMBERS?! I want real, fleshy, Gary Oldman-like Sirius.. Not some form of possessed coal. Gah. Voldemort was kinda disappointing too. His scalp was so.. veiny. I always pictured him more of a graceful, god-like type of guy. His voice was meant to be cold, and not sound like he was choking on sand. And the toenails. Ew. And what the hell was with manic-Dumbledore?! On the other hand, Fred and George were incredibly awesome and deliciously amusing and perfect, and Daniel Radcliffe has learned to act! Hurrah. The Age of Darkness is over my friends! There shall be much rejoicing. The screwups to the plot shall go unmentioned.

There is a picnic tomorrow, yay! It's supposed to be on a roundabout, which may prove to be dodgy. We shall see. I'm not sure how I'll get there, though. Do trams go down St. Kilda Rd, past Glenhuntly Rd? I don't think so.. Darn. I suppose I shall call Hunter and make him help me.

Trees make good hiding places )

-le gasp- Yes I know my loves, you thought this day would never come! (dramatic flourish) I am here! I must say, however, that I haven't been completely absent for livejournal. If it redeems me at all, I've read every single entry on my friends list, oh yes. I do apologise for not commenting much, if at all.. I always mean to, but never get around to it.

I think I'll have to take advantage of this new 6 icon thing.. my current ones are getting a little old. I never really got into the whole icon business.. They're so small, seems like a waste of time to sit there at Photoshop and make a 100x100 image. I suppose I'll have to try it sometime. It might be one of those hidden treasures in life.. Like watching religious television in the early hours of the morning.

I think I also need to get myself a new username.. one which I'll like for more than a few hours. Any suggestions? Please? I'll give you candy....

But yes.. life... well, the holidays haven't been awfully eventful. I mean, I never expected them to be, but it still sucks. There were a few get-togethers, which was nice, even the ones with Queensland-arian bogan-types, and a few cinema experiences. Narnia was good, I enjoyed that, but Just Like Heaven was a mistake. A huge mistake. Even if we did go see it because we wanted a bad movie. Never ever go see that it. It is painfully inconsistent and cliche.

The Beatles!! They are my newly re-discovered true love! I haven't obsessed about them since I was 11. This is slightly embarrassing. I love them so. Oh, and while we're on the subject of embarrassing, iheartharrypotter. No wait, that's wrong, iheartsirius and iheartremus oh and iheartsiriusandremushotmansex. That's enough. I shall now run away and make my home among the feral cats of Victoria's wilderness areas and become a hermit and never show my face in civilisation again. Well, after I've seen the Goblet of Fire tomorrow. I'm so excited. I can't believe I'm publishing this on the internet for all to see. Damn it, I'm just digging myself deeper and deeper.

But siriusandremus harry potter comes nowhere, nowhere near STAR WARS! Which is the most awesome thing to have ever existed ever. So for Christmas I got a Darth Vader bag and Revenge of the Sith folder and bought myself a Yoda watch to add to my Darth Vader t-shirt and ohdearI'mageek.

Did I mention that the trilogy edition of Monopoly is $99.95! Fucking hell, I need a job.

And sleep, lots of sleep, I shall see you cats lat-er.

[edit] New layout, I was getting sick of the old one. Fancy new format. The colour themes were a bit strange.. one was called 'pink punk' and oh dear lord it hurts the eyes..
